Anouk Yve, is a ceramic artist as well as content creator for style and lifestyle brand, Yve House.
Anouk lives in the Netherlands with her husband and two children. They live in an architecture estate which borders a natural reserve. Anouk is currently building an architectural ceramic atelier within the reserve, an innovative brand which hopes to bring interiors and communities together that celebrate nature and all its beauty.
Favourite look from the High Summer ASCENO collection?
The black A-line dress, without a doubt. I’ve practically lived in it all summer, it’s the definition of “effortless.” The kind of dress you can slip on barefoot in the morning with wet hair, and by evening pair with silver hoops and strappy sandals for dinner. The brown silk suit was also a standout soft tailoring that works equally well with flat leather slides in Portugal or kitten heels in the city.
Wardrobe essentials?
Crisp oversized shirts (white and pale blue), a perfectly cut pair of vintage jeans, a silk slip dress that doubles as daywear with a blazer, and one standout bag to tie it all together (preferably worn, leather and vintage). And always: leather sandals that get better the more worn-in they are.
Where will you be spending the summer?
Splitting my time between the Dutch Islands and Southern Europe mornings with salty air and coffee on the terrace, afternoons exploring small towns with my family looking for the best ice cream.

Best travel companion?
A large scarf pareo. It’s a blanket on the plane, a shawl at dinner, and a chic beach wrap.
Bikini or swimsuit?
Bikini I think… I’m embracing my body while it’s still in its prime, and I love the ease of mixing and matching tops and bottoms. At the other hand I use swimsuits as tops.
Best sundowner while on holiday?
A chilled glass of non-alcoholic sparkling tea in a tall, thin glass, refreshing, elegant, and feels celebratory without the hangover.
Travel destination on your bucket list?
Kyoto in spring for the blossoms and ceramics. I’d love to soak in the textures, rituals, and architecture.

What are you planning to read, listen to, or watch while you’re on holiday?
A mix: Just Kids by Patti Smith (again), a few design podcasts, and long playlists with 70’s and 80ms soundtracks and Bossa Nova for slow mornings.
Can’t leave home without?
A notebook and pen; ideas arrive when you’re least expecting them. Also, lipbalm (no particular brand). My fuijifilm X100v, makes the best cinematic shots.

Night owl or up with the birds?
Up with the birds mornings feel like a head start on the world. I start my day with a 30 min pilates session. Tasha Franken is my favorite.
Any bedtime rituals?
Always: a cup of tea, I’m not that sensitive to theine so I take a beautiful green tea with a round caramel taste that stills my lust for something sweet. I also make sure to change my pillowcase twice a week. I just love the feeling of a fresh pillowcase, the smell makes me happy. And my skincare ritual, I use Zo Skin Health and it helps a lot for hyperpigmentation.
