Our Care Guide

Please refer to the general care instructions below to help maintain the quality of your garments.
For the best results, always follow the specific care label on each piece, as instructions may vary depending on the colour, fabric type, and trims.

SILK

Hand Wash or Dry Clean

Hand washing or dry cleaning your silk garments are preferable methods. Silk is a naturally delicate fabric and should be worn and washed with extra love and care. We recommend filling your sink or tub with lukewarm water and a small amount of delicate silk wash detergent. Use your hands to gently clean the garment(s) and make sure you rinse thoroughly. Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric and be sure not to use hot water as this treatment can harm the delicate fibres causing pulls or stretches.

Machine Wash

While we only recommend hand washing or dry cleaning, if you trust your machine's "delicate" or "hand wash" setting this is an option if you don't have time to hand wash. Water should be cool to lukewarm as anything hotter can make the fabric harden, become brittle and can tear more easily.

Air Dry Your Silks

Silk should be hung to air dry. Be sure you use soft hangers or padded hangers. Keep your silks away from direct heat and sunlight. Once dry, silk should be carefully ironed using low heat or preferably steamed to restore the sheen and softness to the fabric.

ORGANIC LINEN

Cool Wash or Dry Clean

Our linens can be dry cleaned or hand washed. Be sure to use delicate detergent. We recommend using cold water with similar colours for best results. Cold water will also help to avoid colours fading. If you trust your machine, some linens can be washed on a delicate cycle only.

Iron or Steam

We also recommend ironing or steaming our linens. If ironing linen, it is best when the garment is damp. We recommend pressing straight out of the wash while it's still damp, or if the piece is already dry, dampen it using a spray bottle filled with water.

RECYCLED VISCOSE

Cool Wash or Dry Clean

Our recycled viscose can be dry cleaned, hand or machine washed. A warm-water hand-wash can shrink it, so we recommend cold wash with similar colours for best results. Turn your garment inside out and choose a gentle cycle.

Iron or Steam

We recommend ironing or steaming our viscose. When ironing viscose it is best when the garment is inside out. Speed up the drying process by laying it flat in a well-ventilated place and make sure you keep it away from the tumble-dryer to avoid shrinkage.

SWIMWEAR

Hand Wash with Cold Water

Hand washing your swimwear is the best practice care for your items. We recommend hand washing with delicate wash detergent in cool or cold water (no hotter than 30c). Be sure you rinse your swim items thoroughly after exposure to salt water or chlorine.

Air Dry

Do not ever tumble dry your swim. Leave your swim to air dry on a flat surface.

Wool Cashmere & Velvet

Dry Clean Only

We recommend only using dry cleaning for Asceno’s wool cashmere flannel or velvet garments, to preserve their texture and prevent damage to the fabric.

Iron or Steam

If required between dry cleans, only steam velvet garments on a low setting at a distance, ensuring not to touch the fabric with the steamer. Wool Cashmere can also be steamed if needed between wears.
