An hour south of Portugal's capital, Lisbon, and two hours west of the country's famous Algarve, situated at the edge of the Tróia peninsula lies what is being dubbed "the new Ibiza" - Comporta.

Despite sharing key similarities with its counterpart, Ibizia, such as paradisal weather and an expansive range of sights and activities, there is something truly unique about the location that drew our admiration.

Bridging the gap between architecture and art, Les Terrasses de Comporta finds a balance between conservative design and subtle nuances. The passion for architecture shared by the designers manifests itself in the bold and angular details of the facilities.

Four separate concrete buildings skirt the property, contrasting against the area's green surroundings, and the mood of the interior mirrors that of the exterior. Furniture is splashed with vibrant colours or formed in natural materials such as straw or wood to accent the bungalows. However, the overall aesthetic is stripped back.
